An iPhone camera app with manual capture controls, focus tools and a choice of image-processing workflows.
Why it’s here
Halide is for decisions made before the picture is taken. Exposure, focus and processing become choices you can work with rather than settings to accept automatically.
It complements an editor such as Darkroom: use the camera to make the capture, then decide how much editing the image needs. The right workflow depends on the scene and your phone’s camera hardware.
What you can do
- Adjust shutter speed, ISO and white balance
- Check focus with peaking and a loupe
- Choose lower-processing capture with Process Zero
- Render supported RAW files in Photo Lab
A good fit for
Photographers who want control over focus, exposure and processing at capture time.
Before you download
Requires iOS 18 or later. Available lenses, formats and controls depend on camera hardware. Camera and photo access are needed for the relevant functions. RAW is a workflow choice, not a guarantee of a better picture.
